News: Mickey Loomis announced today that the team has waived defensive tackle McKinley Boykin, running back Jamaal Branch, wide receiver Carlton Brewster and defensive end Josh Cooper.Who Dat Say: Make way for the new guys! Through the offseason and the draft, the Saints have added upgrades, or at least younger legs, at each of those positions. As the consummate underdogs, Josh Cooper and Jamaal Branch were two semi fan favorites. Cooper did an admirable job in subbing for Will Smith, but his hold on a roster spot became tenuous after the Saints signed Bobby McCray. Branch was always impressive in preseason action, but must not have shown much in practice because if he had practiced like he played in preseason, we might be cutting Reggie instead.
